Lennart Forster
’s artistic practice unfolds acrcoss disciplines and media, guided by a curiosity to discover new ways of seeing and experiencing the world.

His works create spaces where the unforeseen, the fragile, and the incidental gain significance.

Rooted in personal experience yet reaching toward the collective, his projects explore the tension between inner reflection and shared perception.

They invite viewers to encounter the world with a sense of openness, immediacy, and wonder — qualities reminiscent of a child’s gaze.

Through a transdisciplinary approach that blends artistic, spatial, and conceptual exploration,  Forster cultivates a field where perception and meaning remain fluid — an open terrain in which artistic thought becomes a form of living inquiry.

“Womb to tomb”
2024

Womb to Tomb presents an inflatable female doll holding a tray with twenty small
bags of mixed breast milk. The image is deliberately ambivalent: at first absurd or
humorous, yet ultimately intimate and unsettling. The bags of breast milk symbolize a
universal beginning — nourishment, dependency, the maternal gesture that sustains
all human life.  Without women, without mothers, nothing would exist. At the same
time, the use of a sex doll as bearer of this offering cannot be overlooked. The female
body here is both sacred and commodified — revered as a source of nourishment,
reduced to a synthetic object of desire.
